    Job Summary:


    We are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our expanding team.


    This role is a 12 month Fixed term contract with the potential for extension.


    1. Weekly bank reconciliation
    2. Assisting with weekly cashflows
    3. Preparation and posting of journals
    4. Preparing accruals, prepayments and deferrals
    5. Managing fixed asset register and lease schedule
    6. Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts & intercompany accounts

    Back up for Management of monthly payroll process, including but not limited to:

    1. Processing monthly payroll and expense claims
    2. Reconciling and posting payroll journal
    3. Submitting monthly and yearly payroll returns to Revenue"

    Management of links between operation and finance system, including but not limited to:

    1. Daily review and upload of transactions to finance/operations systems
    2. Addressing processing queries that arise from upload 3. Continuous review for integrity of Finance & Ops data

    Other ad hoc duties as required, including but not limited to:

    1. Preparation of Revenue VAT returns for all divisions ROI and UK
    2. Assisting with year end external audits"

    Management Accounts


    Production of management accounts, to trial balance stage for review by Financial Controller:

    • Profit & Loss, payroll and balance sheet journal entry
    • Profit & Loss comparison & reconciliations – sales, cost of sales, overheads
    • Balance sheet reconciliations & Quarterly Comparisons
    • Procurement and Expenses Management
    • Preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts
    • Preparation of annual statutory financial statements and local statutory companies office requirements/compliance
    • Ensure key accounts are reconciled on a regular basis and any reconciling items are properly reviewed and resolved.
    • All necessary work is completed on time in preparation for budgets, audit, month ends and quarter ends.
    • The completion of all financial and other returns required by external bodies are monitored and reviewed.

    • Payroll Experience
    • Strong systems skills with excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
    • Experience in P&L & Balance Sheet Account preparation
    • Demonstrates concern for the accuracy and quality of work, and takes step to correct mistakes and improve the overall product


    • Currently studying ACCA, CPA,IATI or recently completed IATI qualification with ambitions to pursue a career in Accountancy.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience
    • High level of accuracy with numbers and proficient with excel spreadsheets
    • Ability to work cross functionally between accounts and administration
    • Good team player but also have the ability to work on own initiative
    • Ensuring attention is given at all times to the ‘detail’
    • Proactive attitude, good organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
    • Ability to take instruction well
    • Excellent computer literacy with knowledge of MS office applications
    • Fluent English
